Safety
Safety, honestly.
What Thedal does to keep connections safe, what it does not do, and how to look after yourself and your family when you fly with someone you met in the app.

You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time on the delete account page.
Know the limits
What Thedal does not do
Thedal is a way to find someone on your flight, not a supervised care service. Please plan with that in mind.
No background checks
Our Terms say it plainly: it is not feasible for us to do accurate background checks, and we do not do them. Some users may misrepresent themselves.
Companions are not medical staff
Companions are fellow passengers. They are not carers, nurses or airline staff, and they do not know your medical or emergency procedures.
We are not there on the day
Thedal connects you before the flight. On travel day, the airline and airport staff are the people responsible for assistance and emergencies.
Practical tips
Before and on travel day
For travelers and companions
- Read your match's profile and chat before the day. If anything feels off, do not go ahead.
- Agree a meeting point in the terminal, such as check-in or the gate, and a time to meet.
- Swap contact details in the chat so you can find each other if plans shift.
- Tell your companion about any conditions, needs and medication times in advance.
- Book wheelchairs, mobility help and medical assistance with your airline. A companion cannot replace it.
- Keep passports, medication, money and valuables with the traveler at all times.
For families booking for a parent or relative
- Show the traveler the companion's photo and name, and agree how they will recognize each other.
- Keep your own phone handy on travel day and stay in touch with the traveler directly.
- Write down the flight details, the companion's name and your contact number for the traveler to carry.
- Arrange who will meet the traveler at arrival. The companion's help ends when you agreed it would.
